Our Association officers meet quarterly to discuss current surety related topics and to administer various networking and educational events. Events include an annual installation banquet every January, where we discuss events from the previous year, hold elections for the board as well as provide an overview of the upcoming year. Other events include, annual golf tournament, wine tasting-networking events, and monthly or quarterly lunch/breakfast seminars, highlighting current topics that directly or indirectly affect the surety industry.

Examples of topics include; bond form interpretation, construction contract law – bond forms, contract provisions, etc., updates of accounting standards and how it might affect contract & commercial surety underwriting/capacity, economic trending, financial analysis, the banking industry; trends, behaviors and what it takes to secure bank lines of credit.

It’s the SAW’s goal to provide valuable and timely information to ensure our members are equipped to handle the challenging and dynamic cycles of the surety industry and all other areas of business which relate to surety directly or indirectly.

Annual Membership Rates:

• $150/annually – per company
• Individual event prices vary depending on the duration, time of year, location, and speaker. Prices range from $35 – $150 per person.
